    You need a 3rd party driver like Fireshock to enable directinput on the navigation controller. When you first plug the ps3 navigation controller in, microsoft will assign a useless driver to it, it will show up in Steam as the Navigation controller but you can't actually define the layout/the controller won't send any input to Steam.
